August 19, 2016

U.S. Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte is apologizing for his recent actions in Rio.

He released a statement on Instagram saying he is sorry for not being more careful and candid in how he described the events that took place. He said he also regrets his role in taking the focus away from the many athletes fulfilling their Olympic dream. Lochte says he waited to share his thoughts until it was confirmed the legal situation was addressed and it was clear that his teammates would be arriving home safely.
