The injury Tony Romo sustained in Thursday's preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks is a bit more serious than originally believed. An MRI revealed a broken bone in Romo's back and the Cowboys quarterback could miss between 6 and 10 weeks

Romo was hurt after being pulled down from behind by Cliff Avril on Dallas' third offensive play. He lobbied to return after he was evaluated on the sidelines but was held out as a precaution by coach Jason Garrett.
