Ed Sheeran Performed 'Chasing Cars' With Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid & It Was Beautiful (VIDEO)

September 2, 2016

We know. You miss Ed Sheeran -- so do we. The star singer/songwriter has been on a little break for a while now, especially from social media, but good ol' Ed has resurfaced to perform at another wedding. Ed took the stage with Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid to perform at McDaid's sister's wedding reception in Ireland.

Video footage has surfaced of Ed and Johnny performing Snow Patrol's 2006 hit "Chasing Cars" together, and it's seriously beautiful. According to the Irish Independent, the guys played a 30 minute set, which included performances of Ed's "Tenerife Sea," which was co-written with Johnny and featured on his 2014 album x.

According to the wedding band's (Rubix) lead singer, Aaron Hughes, told website JOE.ie, "We were informed that Johnny McDaid & Ed Sheeran would be singing the first dance song." He added, "After that Rubix took over while Ed & Snow Patrol took to the dance floor."

That Ed. So, does this mean Ed and Johnny are writing together again? Can we expect new music from Ed Sheeran soon?! We hope so to all the above. Check out Ed and Johnny's "Cashing Cars" cover above!
