On "Bad Intentions" going Gold
"The remix happened because I kind of brought new life into it, and I never really thought that anything big would come of it. But it was always everyone's favorite, so I feel like I knew deep down that it would kind of maybe get big. But I never thought that I'd have any sort of plaques. And now that I went gold it's kind of insane."
Learn more about Nikyee in these three facts below:
1. She's weird.
"If people are just getting to know me I would probably warn them that I'm weird. I feel like my genre of music doesn't really fit into any category."
2. Her music is #1 to her.
"My music is something that's very, very important to me, and my lyrics and everything that I produce is like my heart and my soul, and it means more to me than anything else."
3. She taught herself how to play guitar at just 9 years old.
"I'm just like a weirdo. I'm an oxymoron because people look at me and they're like 'Oh, she must be a porn star' or like, 'Look, she doesn't have any clothes on.' But I sit in my room, and play my guitar, and try and write songs that little girls can connect to, and I just want to make good music. I taught myself how to play guitar when I was about nine years old. So I've been playing ever since."
