New York Mets Sign Tim Tebow To Minor League Deal

The New York Mets have signed former NFL QB Tim Tebow to a minor league deal.  The Mets announced Tebow will take part in the Instructional League in Port St. Lucie, Florida. 

Scouts and reporters from many teams watched Tebow show off his baseball skills last week at the University of Southern California.  Tebow showed off his power, crushing home runs. He impressed scouts with his speed, which helped make up for his lack of fundamentals in the field. 

Before being signed by the Mets, there were at least 8 other teams interested in the former Heisman Trophy winner.
