Adrian Peterson Has Torn Meniscus

(KFAN) According the Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer who spoke with KFAN’s Dan Barreiro earlier today, Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson has a torn meniscus in his right knee.

Peterson injured his knee in the third quarter of Sunday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers and had to be helped off the field and carried into the Vikings locker room.

Zimmer went on to say that the timetable for a return for Peterson is uncertain right now and that there is still a chance that he could play this weekend in Carolina, however that's doubtful.
