Samuel L. Jackson has an interesting take on Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce.

Pitt and Jackson have appeared together in a couple of films, including Inglourious Basterds and True Romance. He has not worked with Jolie. But Jackson was asked about the split during an interview broadcast on Thursday’s “Good Morning Britain.” The interviewer says, “It’s just sad, isn’t it?” The actor replies, “Is it?”

He then laughs and argues, “It’s life, you know? People carry on. People do what they do. There’s a huge segment of America that still think that, you know, what he did to Jennifer Aniston was just wrong, and they’re just overjoyed that, you know, that the wicked witch lost her husband or whatever.”

“And I’m sure there’s another segment that thinks that it is sad,” continues Jackson, “and it’s a dissolution of another family and all those kids and whatever. But I don’t know why it’s everybody’s business, or why people care anyway.”

As Gossip Cop has pointed out, a lot of people do indeed care. Fans immediately reacted to the Brangelina breakup, and celebrities gave reactions to Jolie divorcing Pitt, too. On the other end of the spectrum, though, both Sophia Bush and Susan Sarandon objected to the Jolie and Pitt coverage. See video of Jackson talking about the split below.
