We lived up to our reputation on Friday night (Sept. 23) when our 2016 iHeartRadio Music Festival lit the Sin City strip on fire with night one of the Las Vegas affair. From a surprise performance by Miley Cyrus to Drizzy’s onstage massacre, it was an evening full of all sorts of OMG-worthy moments that you’ll see all across your timelines in the next 24 hours.
If there was some (unexplainable) reason as to why you missed out on the action, iHeartRadio has you covered with some of the best moments from the takeover at the T-Mobile Arena. Take a look below!

Miley Cyrus Rocks Out With Billy Idol
Billy Idol knew exactly how to ramp up his kickoff set on Friday night with a surprise duet from pop’s wild child: Miley Cyrus. Rocking customized Idol sunglasses, jacket and pants, the pop star marched on stage with enough angst to fill up the entire arena. For the performance, the pair's twin goals went far beyond ensembles. They rocked out, traded lines and walked side-by-side down the catwalk until they were joined by Idol's band. To think it has only been three years since Cyrus graced our iHeartRadio Music Festival with her "Candy Land"-esque set, pasties and overload of twerking.

Drizzy Reps For Rap
As soon as the 6ix God hit the stage, he showed zero mercy during his performance and we were here for every second of it -- literally and figuratively. Drake first kicked things off with some old classics like "Started From The Bottom," "The Motto," and "My Way." He soon transitioned into more current hits such as "Jumpman," "For Free," "Controlla," "Work," "Once Dance," and "Pop Style."
Drake took some time to express his appreciation for being at the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Festival. He acknowledged that he was the "only rap artist" performing during the event and said that meant a lot to himself and the genre of rap.

U2 Gets Real
U2 closed out festivity on Friday by uniting the audience with a very particular set of songs. Still, the one ripple in the unifying theme was their opening number, "Desire," which offered the T-Mobile Arena with some insight on what they thought of Donald Trump.

OneRepublic's Priceless Fan Reactions
One of the (MANY) great moments of their set was when the group's frontman, Ryan Tedder, performed "Apologize" on piano. He was even so pumped up that he climbed on his piano and started singing from on top of it! By giving every single thing they had in their performance, OneRepublic was definitely a fan favorite of the night. Want more proof of this major claim? Well, listen to this! As the group was performing "Secrets," one man next to me felt the massive urge to admit, "This song makes me want to dance around naked...sitting on my kitchen floor...eating Twinkies."

Sia & Her Familiar Friends
Introduced by Hailee Steinfeld and Big Boy, Sia kicked off her set with the always-chantable, "Cheap Thrills." As you might have guessed, Sia brought her signature wig, interpretative performance art schtick and Maddie Ziegler to the stage to match a number of well-shot backdrops.

Taking New Heights With twenty one pilots
twenty one pilots took things to new heights during their Friday set at our iHeartRadio Music Festival when they brought their tunes to the (almost) top of the T-Mobile Arena while frontman Tyler Joseph took to the top of a platform in the middle of the crowd. Note to self: twenty one pilots indeed do have some acrobatic skills.

Up Close & Personal With Sam Hunt
In case you were wondering, Sam Hunt knows how to throw a "House Party" and our crowd at the T-Mobile Arena learned that lesson in the middle of his set when the country heartthrob celebrated the chart-topping single with, you know, 15,000 of his friends.
Oh, And These 3D Animations
Not all of the highlights from night one of our iHeartRadio Music Festival took place onstage. Case in point: our spectacular backstage 3D animations. We nabbed Brendon Urie, OneRepublic, Hailee Steinfeld, Bebe Rexha and even Jiffpom.
