As the sixth annual iHeartRadio Music Festival is about to take place this weekend in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena, we are taking a moment to remember the artist who kicked off last year's entire weekend: Christina Grimmie. Christina was tragically killed this year during a meet and greet following a concert in Orlando back in June, however her tremendous voice and beautiful spirit live on today not only through her music and family, but through her loyal fans who she deeply cared for.

The New Jersey-born singer/songwriter was our Macy's iHeartRadio Rising Star contest winner just last year, and thanks to her incredible talent, and the votes of all her fans, she performed her original music to a massive audience at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. So we couldn't dream of any other way to kick of the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Festival this year, than by paying tribute to the gorgeous inside and out, kind-hearted, and talented Christina Grimmie.

In a special tribute video, dedicated to Christina during our 2016 iHeartRadio Music Festival, we get a look into the singer's life, from posting covers of songs on her YouTube channel, to footage of her festival performance last year, to meeting her fans. And if there is anything you should know about Christina, it's that she loved her fans so much. In fact, the moment she found out she won the iHeartRadio Rising Star contest, she said in a message, "We are the winners of the iHeartRadio contest. Thank you guys, you're so amazing." Not I, but we.

At the end of the video, fans can hear Grimmie tell her fans, "You're strong, so own it. Love, me."

Help us remember Christina as we head into our 2016 iHeartRadio Music Festival, and watch our tribute video above.
