Ever since Danity Kane 2.0 broke up in 2013, Aubrey O'Day and Shannon Bex have made an effort to create music on their very own terms. Case in point: dumblonde

After dropping their critically-acclaimed debut last year, the pop pair have been working steadily on the follow-up to the self-titled LP and now we have a small taste of their brand-new lead single, "White Hot Lies."

On Sunday (September 25), Aubrey celebrated the one-year anniversary of the alt/pop duo's debut release with a look back at their visuals as well as the new tune. Previously teased during their appearance at Chicago Pride and their fan listening party for their self-titled remix LP, "White Hot Lies" sounds like a funky ode to a lover, who just can't stop lying. "Your white hot lies electrify me/ I might just like the way they feel," Aubrey croons during the hook.

In a recent interview with PopCrush, O'Day shared some insight on the next era in music for dumblonde. "We took a different direction with this album. We take a lot of time to develop our sound and to really do products that matter as opposed to just put anything out," she revealed of the forthcoming alternative disco-inspired LP.
