US Heckler Pulled Out Of Stands At Ryder Cup Drills Putt

September 30, 2016

(KFAN) It was the first big roar on the course out at Hazeltine for the 2016 Ryder Cup and it wasn't for Team USA or Team Europe.

Taking in today's practice round leading up to the opening ceremonies this afternoon, a US heckler from North Dakota took it upon himself to get inside the heads of Team Europe's Henrick Stenson and Rory McIlRoy.

The heckler, David Johnson from Mayville, ND, was surprised when the light hearted nature of the practice round turned it's attention towards him standing in the crowd. Team Europe's Herik Stenson came over to Johnson and invited him beyond the ropes and onto the green to try his hand at the 10-foot putt the pros had previously missed. To make matters even more nerve-wracking, Team U.S. player Justin Rose dropped a $100 bill on the green next to the ball sealing a bet between the pros and some rube.
