A tape of Donald Trump saying lewd things about women has surfaced. The Washington Post released an edited tape of a 2005 conversation where Trump bragged about kissing, groping and trying to have sex with women.
The Post says the comments were picked up by a hot microphone on an "Access Hollywood" bus with host Billy Bush. The conversation occurred several months after Trump married his third wife Melania.
Trump released a statement calling the comments "locker room banter" that occurred in a "private conversation." Trump added, quote -- "Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course." He offered an apology, "if anyone was offended."
Speaker Paul Ryan was supposed to campaign with Trump in Ryan's Wisconsin district tomorrow but Ryan says the presidential candidate isn't coming. It was supposed to be the first time the two campaigned together since Trump won the nomination but now the speaker says he's sickened by what he's heard. In a statement, Ryan said women are to be championed, not objectified.
On Twitter, Hillary Clinton wrote: “This is horrific. We cannot allow this man to become president.”

Prominent Republicans, including Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney took to Twitter to condemn Trump.
As the grandfather of two precious girls, I find that no apology can excuse away Donald Trump's reprehensible comments degrading women.

Hitting on married women? Condoning assault? Such vile degradations demean our wives and daughters and corrupt America's face to the world.

In a statement, Billy Bush, the former Access Hollywood host said he "was younger, less mature and acted foolishly" in playing along with the current GOP nominee more than a decade ago.
