Michael Buble Brings 'Nobody But Me' To Life During iHeartRadio Album Release Party
October 22, 2016
Michael Bublé released his ninth studio album and seventh major label studio record called Nobody But Me today (Oct. 21), and the Canadian-born crooner celebrated with an exclusive and intimate show for fans during his iHeartRadio Album Release Party at the iHeartRadio Theater in New York City.
Nobody But Me features ten songs, including his single "I Believe In You," and promotional singles like "Nobody But Me," "My Kind of Girl," "On An Evening In Roma (Sotter Celo de Roma)," and "The Very Thought of You." There is also a song on the album called "Someday," which was written by Meghan Trainor and Harry Styles.
During his iHeartRadio Album Release Party, Bublé mostly performed songs off of his new album, along with three backup singers, a full jazz band, and his pianist Alan. He kicked the show off with his single "Nobody But Me," and also performed songs (which include many of the Standards on the record) like "Today Is Yesterday's Tomorrow" (he called this song one of his favorites on the album), "I Believe In You," "I Wanna Be Around," "My Baby Just Cares For Me," "The Very Thought of You," and "God Only Knows." Michael also performed some Bublé favorites like "Haven't Met You Yet," "Everything," and "Home." He even did a short, spontaneous cover of Beastie Boys' "Girls."

Michael told the crowd that he's really proud of the album and that "it really speaks for itself." He mentioned that he couldn't wait for Nobody But Me to be released, and called the album release day "one of the great days of [his] life."
"There was just a great sense of fulfillment when we knew that we were bringing a lot of the folks that love the Standards, that we were going to bring even more authentic sounding Standards, and we knew that we were writing even better songs for the people that love the pop music."

Check out three fun facts we learned about Nobody But Me during Michael Bublé's iHeartRadio Album Release Party below:
1. He was inspired by 2015 film Straight Outta Compton.
"I thought it was inspiring for me. I got goosebumps when I watched these young men going through incredibly trying times. It was very cool to see that they created this environment where they could tell their stories. And it was obviously really complex ... I wanted to go in with my friends to sort of do something with my peers where I could truly create what I needed to create in my own vision."
2. One Direction's Harry Styles may have written "Someday," but Michael knows all of the guys.
"I know all those boys, they're great. Again, listen, fame screws you up. It messes people up. I think when it happens at a young age, and you're always in the spotlight, it's ... I mean any one of you people in the [crowd], I'm telling you, you can admit it to yourselves, 21 years old, you're getting rich and famous, and cameras on you all the time ... I can't imagine."

3. Meghan Trainor wore a teddy bear onesie while they were recording "Someday."
"She's a really great girl, and for those of you who are Meghan Trainor fans, and you think 'oh what would she be like if I met her,' well she's exactly how you hope she would be. She's a great girl. She's an incredibly talented woman, really a force of nature. I mean, she walked in the studio, and when I say she took over, she took over! She came with her mom and dad, who I obviously fell in love with, they're cute, and she just walked in, she ended up putting on a teddy bear onesie that Ariana Grande bought her, and she took over. When I say took over, not just a great singer, not just a great musician, literally took over the production. Sat down, and started sitting on the mixing boards, and started with the pro-tools, and just ... she's a monster, she's amazing. I feel really, really fortunate to have worked with her."
