As if this week couldn't be any more disappointing, sorrow spread across the music industry on Thursday night (November 10) when it was announced via Facebook that Leonard Cohen had passed away. He was 82-years old.
Cohen leaves behind a rich catalogue of contributions to the world of songwriting, particularly his cut "Hallelujah." Surprisingly, the song, which was featured on his Various Positions LP in 1984, didn't gain fame from the industry titan, but instead from a countless number of covers from folks of all genres throughout his 60 year career.
