Green Day Lashes Out At Donald Trump During Performance At The AMAs

For an award show that didn't exactly show much love to the rock scene, Green Day repped for the genre when Billie Joe Armstrong and the crew took to the 2016 American Music Awards on Sunday night (November 20) for a performance of "Bang Bang" and slammed President-elect Donald Trump.

Even though the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015, it certainly hasn't slowed them down or brought any sort of censorship to their artistry. It was a typical performance of "Bang Bang" until the bridge of the song when the rock trio replaced the original lyrics with something a little more fitting to the political landscape. "No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA," they chanted. Take a look at the clip below!

"Bang Bang" is the lead single off the rock band's newest offering, Revolution Radio. Earlier this month, Green Day released their new video for "Still Breathing," the second single off the LP.

We'll be reporting on the 2016 American Music Awards all night long, so check back for more coverage on the Sunday night show. Click here for an up-to-date list of winners.
