Ryan Adams Announces New Album 'Prisoner': See The Cover Art
December 7, 2016
Ryan Adams has returned to the scene with a new set of music and no, it is not a Taylor Swift cover album.
On Wednesday (December 7), the singer/songwriter announced Prisoner, his first set since his cover of the pop titan's blockbuster-selling 1989, which is due February 17 via Pax Am/Blue Note/Capitol. It will be released on various formats, including CD, vinyl, limited edition red vinyl at indie record stores and a limited edition exclusive cover at Barnes and Noble. In conjunction with the news, the 42-year-old star also unleashed the first taste from the LP called "Do You Still Love Me?"
In a new interview with Lil BUB, Adams spoke about the inspiration behind the set's name. "I was reflecting on the different states of desire and what it means to be a prisoner of your own desire," he said of the LP title, adding, "I felt like I had been robbed of... the most valuable thing in a person's life… Time."
