Celebrities are reacting to the death of Alan Thicke at age 69.
Thicke died on Tuesday after suffering a heart attack while playing hockey with his son, Carter. He was transferred to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. In addition to Carter, Thicke is also survived by his wife, Tayna, as well as his singing son Robin, and a third son, Brennan.
The actor, of course, is best known for playing the patriarch, Jason Seaver, on “Growing Pains,” a role for which he received a Golden Globes nomination in 1988. Ten years later, he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy as a co-producer for the game show “Pictionary.”
More recently, he and his family starred on the reality show, “Unusually Thicke.” He also appeared on “Fuller House,” and made a cameo appearance as himself on the pilot of “This Is Us.”
Tributes to the late star are now pouring in on Twitter and Instagram. Read some of them below.
