Well, 2017 is finally here, and at long last, new music from Ed Sheeran is coming at the stroke of midnight on January 6th! On New Year's Day, Ed revealed that new music was coming on Friday, and now he's sharing some lyrics from his new upcoming single.
NEW YEAR, NEW ED SHEERAN MUSIC! And apparently Ed broke his leg when he was six.
On Twitter, Ed posted a silent video as the lyrics to his new song appear. It said, "When I was six years old I broke my leg."

Two questions: Did this really happen to you, Ed? If so, how did you break your leg?!
This is Ed's first new single since he released his album x (multiply) in 2014, and his 2015 collaboration with Rudimental "Lay It All On Me." This new song will likely be featured on his upcoming third studio album, presumably called ÷ (divide) as hinted by another tweet from January 2nd.
In fact, in a 2015 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ed explained that the two choices for his next album (before he even made it) were either - (subtract) or ÷ (divide). "They’re the two choices. But I don’t know what direction the album’s gonna go in yet. Every title has its own theme. Multiply was called Multiply because it made everything that was on plus bigger. From the venues to the songs to the radio plays to the sales."
The countdown to January 6th is ON.
