Jason Derulo Recruits Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla $ign For New Single 'Swalla'

Even though it's been less than a week since we welcomed 2017, we're about to get hit hard with a ton of new music and Jason Derulo is ready to deliver on all fronts. Prior to his performance at "Dick Clark’s New Year's Rockin' Eve," the pop star announced a brand new single called "Swalla" featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign.

"I've been recording at my house this time. And it's just been a much more comfortable experience," the star told Billboard. "And I'm excited to share with you all my ups, my downs, my highs and my lows. Also got to work with a lot of amazing artists. 2017 is ours, Derulo Family."

"Swalla" is expected to drop at the "top of the year," but the Derulo Family isn't entirely unfamiliar with the tune. In fact, he previewed the island-flavored cut on social media a few months back, before playing a snippet of the song during a dance break mid-show. Take a listen to both previews of "Swalla" below.
