USC Rallies Past Penn State In Wild Rose Bowl Finis

Matt Boermeester's 46-yard field goal on the final play gave #9 USC a dramatic 52-49 win over fifth-ranked Penn State in the Rose Bowl. Leon McQuay the Third's 32-yard interception return set up the winning kick as USC scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to rally for the win.
The Trojans led 27-14 in the second quarter, but the Nittany Lions scored four straight touchdowns to go up 42-27. Sam Darnold threw for 453 yards and five scores as USC finishes the season 10-and-3. Deontay Burnett caught 13 passes for 164 yards and three TD's. Trace McSorley threw four touchdown passes for Penn State, but was also picked off three times. Saquon Barkley rushed for 194 yards and two scores for the Nittany Lions, who finish their season 11-and-3.
