Neal Schon: Journey Reunion Is Up to Steve Perry

It seems like everyone wants Steve Perry to be back in Journey, except Steve Perry.
New York's Q104.3 personality Ken Dashow posted a video of the last time Perry performed with Journey in 1991 for the Bill Graham Memorial Concert in Golden Gate Park. He expressed the hopes of many fellow classic rock fans that the band could reunite with the former singer.
After the radio station posted the link on their Twitter account, Neal Schon replied saying, "I'm in. Have not heard from Steve."
@Q1043 I'm in 👍🏾 have not heard from Steve

Schon's desire to reunite with Perry isn't exactly breaking news, but it's the first time he's appeared to confirm that he has reached out. The Twittersphere wasted little time reacting to Schon's statement, encouraging the guitar great to make amends with his former singer.
@NealSchonMusic @Q1043 Soooooo many people hoping this will happen Neal!!! I think i would lose my mind to see the 2 of you onstage again!

Schon has mentioned his desire for a reunion at times over the years, including his stop at Q104.3 last year with Carlos Santana to talk about their 2016 reunion album, Santana IV.
Santana, a huge Journey fan, said that day he'd go to great lengths to get Perry and Schon talking again.
"I dream of Neal and I going to Fresno and talking to Steve Perry," Santana said. "If Santana can do Santana IV Neal and Steve Perry and whoever wants to join in...like Neal says, time is short."
Our fingers are still crossed this reunion happens. These rock and roll feuds only accomplish one thing - they get in the way of the music.
