Ed Sheeran's "Castle on the Hill" hears the pop singer/songwriter reminisce about his upbringing in the English countryside town of Framlingham, Suffolk, so it's no surprise that the video lets viewers in on that very narrative.
On Monday (January 23), Sheeran unleashed the almost five-minute visual for the track, which sees the chart-topper walking through his stomping ground as he reflects on his teenage years. Directed by George Belfield, "Castle on the Hill" offers viewers with a mini-Ed look-a-like doing all sorts of stuff you do as a teenager. He hangs out with friends at bonfires, grabs pints and even lands his first kiss.
"Loved filming this in Fram All these kids are actually from my high school!" the 25-year-old wrote on Twitter. "Go watch it & share it far and wide x"
"Castle on the Hill" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 last week as "Castle" took the No. 6 spot. Both tracks are lifted off his upcoming album, Divide, which drops on March 3rd.
