Mel Gibson is a dad for the ninth time! His girlfriend Rosalind Ross gave birth to a baby boy named Lars Gerard on Friday, January 20, Gossip Cop confirms with a rep. The newborn weighed in at 5 pounds, 5 ounces, and is doing well at home with his parents.
As Gossip Cop reported, it was revealed last September that Gibson was expecting his ninth child, and his first with Ross, two years into their relationship. At the time, it was unclear how far along the 26-year-old was in her pregnancy, but it was said she was due in early 2017. Following the announcement, the couple stepped out together on a number of red carpets, with Ross’ blossoming baby bump on full display.
In October, however, RadarOnline falsely claimed Gibson and Ross were getting married. The following month, the webloid’s sister publication Star wrongly accused Gibson of trying to dodge daddy duty. Gibson’s rep laughed off the claim, telling Gossip Cop exclusively how much the actor and director relishes fatherhood.
Indeed, he’s already had a lot of experience. The movie star has seven kids with his first wife Robyn Moore: Daughter Hannah and sons Edward, Christian, William, Louis, Milo and Thomas. He also has a daughter, Lucia, with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva. Gossip Cop congratulates Gibson on expanding his large family once more!
