Young Surfer Unknowingly Shares Wave With Shark

A 10-year-old Aussie surfer unknowingly shared a wave with a shark, and only found out because his dad caught it on camera. Eden Hasson was surfing at Samurai Beach in Australia while his dad watched on. When they looked over the photos, they noticed the giant shark just a few feet from Eden. 

According to ABC News in Australia, the shark was likely scared of Eden and was trying to swim away from the surf board. Eden was not phased by the potentially dangerous encounter, joking with his dad that he "was lucky" he didn't fall off his board.
