The time-honored tradition of throwing your guitar pick or drumsticks into the crowd at the end of a performance is a ritual in rock n' roll. Unfortunately for Styx drummer Todd Sucherman, this act of fan interaction has him in hot water and a lawsuit.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Sucherman is being sued by Lori Frederick who claims that they suffered injuries after being hit in the face after he "negligently threw a drumstick into the audience" and that she was not given “timely and proper warning.” The incident happened at a concert in June 2015 in Georgia.
Frederick is seeking to recover damages, including medical expenses and lost income. In addition, she claims her outfit was ruined after blood spilled on her dress after being hit. She is also seeking compensation for her inability to register in a road race the following month.
TMB Productions, who "owned, operated or managed the band STYX in its musical performances" at the time of the June 2015 incident, are also named in the lawsuit.
To stand in solidarity with Todd, we'd like to feature our favorite version of Styx's "Come Sail Away" - Eric Cartman's beautiful rendition of the song.
