Jamie Lynn Spears' Rep Releases Statement On Maddie's Accident

Jamie Lynn Spears' rep has released a statement on the accident that the country singer's 8-year-old daughter Maddie Aldridge was reportedly involved in over the weekend.

On Sunday night (February 5), TMZ reported that the Maddie was seriously hurt in an ATV accident after flipping over in a Polaris, which sent her into a lake. She was reportedly underwater for several minutes. "The details the media are reporting surrounding the incident regarding Jamie Lynn‘s daughter Maddie are incorrect," the rep told JustJared.com in a statement. "Right now the Spears family asks that everyone respect their privacy during this time and appreciates all the prayers and support for their family."

After Spears' rep issued the statement, TMZ followed up on the story and revealed that Maddie is in critical but stable condition. "We're told Maddie was unconscious and taken to a local hospital, where she was airlifted to a New Orleans hospital," the outlet reported.
