On This Day In Black History: Leroy Satchel Paige

Leroy "Satchel" Paige was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on this day in 1971.  He began his professional career in 1926 with the Chattanooga Black Lookouts of the Negro Southern League. Born in Mobile, Alabama Satchel was the first player to pitch in the World Series who had also played in the Negro leagues.  Learn more about him below.
