NFL's Kiss Cam Promo Celebrates LGBTQ Love
February 21, 2017
Everything we know about the tradition of a kiss cam is changing, courtesy of a brand-new campaign called "Love Has No Labels" from the NFL and the Ad Council.
In promotion for Valentine's Day, the campaign released a new video advertisement, which was filmed at the 2017 Pro Bowl in Orlando. During the two-and-a-half minute promo, viewers see the kiss camera pan to several different kinds of love between interracial couples, same-sex couples, disabled friends, folks of different religions and even included an appearance from a survivor of the Orlando nightclub massacre.
"For years, kiss cams have been a big part of American sports culture. This year, Love Has No Labels puts a twist on the kiss cam by turning it into a symbol for unbiased love," the caption for the video reads. "In the stadium, fans cheered for love in all its forms - regardless of race, gender, disability, age or religion."
