Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston apologized for using what he said was a "poor word choice" after making stereotypical gender comments during a speech at an elementary school earlier in the week.

Winston demanded that the male students stand up while telling the female students to remain seated told the kids, "the ladies, they're supposed to be silent, polite, gentle. My men, my men (are) supposed to be strong."

Winston's Mom, Loretta Winston, stopped by to clear the air with Pat and Aaron on WDAE about her son's school speech critics!

-Mrs. Winston, "I was disgusted by (Tom Jones' Article) it"

-Mrs. Winston, "Those who know Jameis knows that a lot of this stuff is just for the media.  They don't know Jameis"

-Mrs. Winston, "What you see is what you get with Jameis, he isn't the guy they (the media) are portraying him to be"

-Mrs. Winston, "Regardless of what anyone says, his (Jameis) message was that he loves helping children"
