John Legend's performance at the 89th Academy Awards was a highlight of the night, according to fans of the superstar on Twitter. Music lovers who were watching the show loved every single note Legend sang.

Taking the stage with a number of dancers and a classical piano, Legend performed La La Land songs “City of Stars” and “Audition (The Fools Who Dream).” Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone actually sing these in the movie, but Legend took the mic tonight (Feb. 26) to add his own spin to them. For those who haven't seen La La Land, Legend even performs another song called “Start a Fire” in the film, as he portrays an old friend of Gosling's.

Since Legend's performance, Twitter can't stop speaking about it. In everyone's eyes, the "Glory" singer can do no wrong when he's onstage. His wife, Chrissy Teigen, even looked mesmerized when she was watching her husband sing, from the audience.

Check out Twitter's reaction to Legend's set, too. If people didn't already fall in love with the star before, they definitely did tonight.
