Marc Diakiese Becomes The First UFC Fighter To Pose For A Gay Magazine

February 27, 2017

UFC and Gay Times crossed paths when British UFC fighter Marc Diakiese posed for a historic photoshoot for the March edition of the magazine, making him the very first MMA heavyweight to photograph for a gay publication.

Just a month before hitting UFC London in March, the 23-year-old heterosexual athlete, who remains undefeated, opened up the mag about his mindset towards sexual identity. "I like the idea that as people, we are all one," he shared with Gay Times. "There's a lot of people who are single-minded. We're all the same, really, and as long as I get on with you and you get on with me, I’m fine. There's no difference."

The "Bonecrusher" also emphasized that today's current landscape really encourages folks to be whomever they want to be. "We're in a new era in
2017. You can do and be whatever you want to be.
We are all people, we are
all the same, and so I’m pleased to be here and be featured in the Gay Times," he said.
