Pitbull's 'Fate And The Furious' Collab With Camila Cabello Originally Featured Britney Spears

March 6, 2017

Pitbull is lining up another scorcher with "Hey Ma," his collaboration with J Balvin and Camila Cabello, but it turns out The Fate and the Furious soundtrack cut originally featured Romeo Santos and Britney Spears.

The reveal comes courtesy of a new interview with Mr. 305, where the rapper unveils that the decision was made by the team behind the latest installment of the action-packed franchise, which hits theaters on April 14. "At first, it was me and Romeo Santos, Britney Spears was on the record,” Pitbull explained. "[The] Fast and Furious [team] ends up loving the record. And they brought on board J Balvin and Camila Cabello. So, it’s been an interesting journey."

Even though he didn't explain why they decided to switch things up, the rapper did emphasize that we might hear Britney's vocals on a remix, after all is said and done.

"You never know, there might be a remix with Romeo and Britney in the future," the hitmaker explained. "She was a great sport, she’s been in the business for years. She said, 'Don't even worry about that. We'll use it for the remix, or we’ll do another record together.'"

In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for Pitbull, J Balvin and Camila in the Miami-themed music video, which was shot a few weeks back. Elsewhere on the upcoming soundtrack to The Fate of the Furious, you'll find songs from Young Thug, G-Eazy, Kehlani and more.
