Did you know a third of food around the world would disappear without honeybees? According to the Environmental Protection Agency, over the last decade or so pesticides and parasites have killed off bee populations at rates of up to 30% per year.
And in January for the first time, North American Bumble Bees were added to the U.S. endangered species list.
Most noteably, Honey Nut Cheerios love their honey enough to have a Honey Bee as their adorable mascot. And now, Cheerios is doing something to help these buzzing creatures.

Cheerios is campaigning to #BringBackTheBees using a tactic of 'Where's Buzz the Bee.' On their website it reads,
"Buzz is missing because there's something serious going on with the world's bees. Bee populations everywhere have been declining at an alarming rate, and that includes honeybees like Buzz."
So the company is doing something to help. They've pledged to give away 100 million wildflower seeds for free to get the movement started to #BringBackTheBees. And amazingly enough, the goal has already been reached, but they haven't stopped giving away seeds to continue helping.
