During a recent appearance on Good Morning Britain, Sex Pistols and PiL frontman John Lydon a.k.a. Johnny Rotten defended Brexit and supported Donald Trump, calling the President a "possible friend."
While promoting his new book Mr Rotten’s Songbook, host Piers Morgan asked about his thoughts on Trump. The Punk Rock icon answered: "The left-wing media in America are trying to smear the bloke as a racist and that's completely not true. There are many, many problems with him as a human being but he's not that. There just might be a chance that something good will come out of that situation because he terrifies politicians and this is a joy to behold to me."
"Dare I say, a possible friend," Rotten continued.
Also in the interview, Rotten supported Brexit, saying, “The working class have spoken and I’m one of them and I’m with them.”
While Rotten may defend Trump as a symbol of defiance, his politics greatly contrast the President's beliefs. In a recent interview, the singer said he believes that borders create divisions.
