Katy Perry has nothing but love and support for the late superfan, who passed away from a car accident over the weekend, and took to Twitter to share her condolences over the unfortunate loss.

After news spread that Katie Bell, an 18-year-old superfan from Benton, Louisiana, lost her life in a tragic car accident, the pop titan took to the social media platform on Tuesday morning (March 28) to mourn the death. "We see you angel and we love and will miss you. KC's, light a candle for Katie. Rest In Peace," she wrote. In addition, Perry also changed her Twitter handle to "ripkatycatKatie" in honor of the fallen fan. See the post below!

ABC affiliate KTBS reported that Bell was driving on a Louisiana highway early Saturday evening when she lost control of her car, crossed over the median and collided head-on with another vehicle. The unfortunate accident also took the life of the other driver: 68-year-old Roger Erickson.

iHeartRadio sends our condolences to Katie Bell's family and friends.
