Snickers Unveils Rainbow Wrapper To Promote LGBTQ News Hub

In partnership with Gay Star News, Snickers wants consumers, specifically their LGBTQ audience, to "be who you are" by encouraging folks to share their own inspirational stories of acceptance.

If you want to read tales about overcoming diversity, head over to Gay Star Support, a brand-new sub-section of Gay Star News, where you'll be able to read content geared towards the LGBTQ audience. The launch of the news hub is backed by Mars, which has gone as far as creating a specialty wrapper for the pro-LGBTQ campaign. 

"We want to promote friendship and the support network we all give each other. That's what the Snickers brand stands for; good friendship, camaraderie and being the best version of yourself," Mitch Oliver, UK Vice President of Marketing for Mars Chocolate UK, told GSN. "We all know Snickers tells us ’you are not yourself when you are hungry.’ Now it will tell us ’your friends will accept you whoever you are, in all your colors.'"
