Deeper: Randy Blythe Talks Photography, Life On The Road, and Plans For His Second Book

Writer, photographer, and vocalist for Lamb Of God, Randy Blythe stopped by to talk shop with Nikki and Jenn about his passion for photography, his time in prison and the lessons he learned there, life on the road, plans for his second book, and why you shouldn't see a band's first show on a tour.

This interview is a joy to listen to if you are a photographer. Nikki and Randy compare their styles and preferences in the medium, how they see everything as a potential photo, why they chose photography once they became sober, why they feel it speaks to them as an art form and their love of Leicas. Randy also details his journey down Route 66 with fellow photographer Robb Flynn and what he learned from the trip.

Blythe also gave us a preview of his plans for a second book, which will chronicle how travel, surfing, and photography changed his perspective on life. He also explains why you shouldn't take more than what fits in a backpack with you, blocking people on Instagram, and Lamb of God's upcoming tour with Slayer and Behemoth.
