Cactus League Sets Another Attendance Record

It's another record year in terms of attendance for the Cactus League.  The 15 major league teams that are part of Arizona's spring training drew a total of more than 1,940,000 fans this year. That's about 40,000 more than the previous record set 2 years ago.

Not surprisingly, the biggest draw -- for the 4th year in a row -- was last year's World Series champions, the Chicago Cubs.  They drew about 252,000, averaging almost 15,000 per game.

The other World Series team, the Cleveland Indians, had an average attendance of about 6,300 which is up about 900 from last year.
