Tyler Marenyi, also known as NGHTMRE, has been nothing short of busy. The 26-year-old DJ from Connecticut recently released the music video for his collab with Ghastly titled "End Of The Night," worked on an official remix for DJ Snake and Mr. Hudson's "Here Comes the Night," and wrapped up a mini-tour in Asia. iHeartRadio caught up with him during Ultra Music Festival in Miami where he told us about touring with his best friends SLANDER, getting his start at Ultra in 2015, and his top three spots for gud vibes.
NGHTMRE met Derek Andersen and Scott Land, the masterminds behind SLANDER, when he moved to Los Angeles. "They became some of my best friends before we were even able to tour together so obviously being able to tour with your best friends..." It doesn't get much better than that! The three of them embarked on the first leg of the GUD VIBRATIONS Tour in November of 2016, and brought it to Mana Wynwood during Miami Music Week. The bipolar weather of clear skies and torrential rain made for a dope way to end the show. "It started pouring right as we started to do our encore so it was actually amazing."
In honor of the GUD VIBRATIONS Tour, we asked him to name his top three spots that bring gud vibes. The first place that came to mind was where he likes to write music, at his family's house in North Carolina. Given his schedule he has to write all over the globe, but there's nothing like going back to your old room where you first started writing. The second place is Sydney, Australia. He told us, "I love Sydney. Honestly, every show in Sydney is so awesome." And last but not least, his favorite ramen eatery near his house in L.A., Tatsu Ramen. Check out his top three below!
