On "Neighbors," J. Cole detailed the scenario where police raided his studio because his neighbors thought that he was selling dope.
We can now see video footage of this raid actually going down. On Saturday (April 15), Cole's 4 Your Eyez Only: A Dreamville Film documentary aired on HBO. In the program, viewers witnessed a SWAT team consisting of 12 cops busting into a North Carolina home where his studio is in.
One officer was seen completely kicking down one of the home's doors, while another turned off one of the video cameras that was catching all of this footage. This raid took place on March 18, 2016. Unsurprisingly, no dope was found...just a small amount of weed.
On the hook of "Neighbors," Cole raps: "Okay, the neighbors think I'm sellin' dope/ Hm, I guess the neighbors think I'm sellin' dope sellin' dope...Well motherf**ker, I am," the last line clearly making fun of the situation.
