Luke Hemmings' Awkward Moment With A '13 Reasons Why' Star

5SOS frontman Luke Hemmings just had one of those awkward moments that everyone can relate to. Kind of.

The singer-guitarist took to Twitter on Wednesday to share the cringe-worthy moment with his millions of followers, writing that he accidentally waved at one of the actors from “13 Reasons Why,” mistakenly thinking he was a friend after watching the show.

“I waved at one of the 13 reasons dudes thinking he was a friend because he looked familiar,” Luke wrote. Sad face time? “He didn’t reciprocate this feeling.” 

Someone else chimed in on the conversation and asked Devin Druid (who plays “stalker”-photographer Tyler on the show) if it was him. Devin replied with a simple: “wait was it me” Well, was it? WILL WE EVER KNOW?

Mitchy Collins, a close friend of 5SOS and lead singer of lovely.the.band, was apparently with Luke when the awk moment occurred, tweeting simply, “this was very funny.”

Although he didn’t say, let’s hope Luke did the whole “I’m-not-waving-at-you-I’m-actually-holding-my-arm-up-to-slick-back-my-hair-really-quickly” save. 

Also, let’s hope that it was Clay he ran into.
