April 20, 2017

Former Yankees star Derek Jeter and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush are reportedly trying to buy the Miami Marlins.  The Miami Herald says Jeter and Bush are forming a group to buy the Major League Baseball team.

The report says the two had been competing to buy the team, but are now joining forces to battle other buyers.  Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria is asking $1.6 billion for the Marlins.

Derek Jeter has a house in Tampa, Florida, and said in November that owning a baseball team was his "ultimate goal."
