Birdman's Rich Gang Rapper BTY YoungN Shot And Killed

Birdman Rich Gang artist BTY YoungN was shot and killed on Saturday (April 29), NOLA.com reports. He was 27 years old.

According to the news site, the shooting went down at a Shell gas station in Hollygrove, New Orleans. The rapper was reportedly shot multiple times and was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene of the crime. Police have yet to reveal a motive behind the shooting. But, YoungN's past could possibly give some clues as to why his murder occurred.

The late artist -- who was born Desmone Jerome -- had a not-so-clean history. He's faced gun and drugs charges before and was even spent three years behind bars for a second-degree murder charge.

A couple of New Orleans artists have since paid their respects to YoungN. On Instagram, Birdman showed love to his artist.
