The glaciers at Glacier National Park in Montana are disappearing. A study released by the U.S. Geological Survey and Portland State University says the overall shrinkage of ice formations in the past half century is 39%, with some glaciers losing as much as 85% of their size. There are now fewer than 40 glaciers in the park which once numbered 150.
The study's lead scientist said that by the end of the century they will be completely gone. Dan Fagre blames man made climate change. He said the glaciers that have been here for 7,000 years will be gone in decades. He said it's "not part of the natural cycle."
