Chris Cornell's Final Tweets Were Full of Hope and Joy

The music world has been in shock since the devasting news broke that Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell had died at the age of 52 late Wednesday night (May 17th). Representatives of his family said his death was "sudden and unexpected," and is being reported as a suicide. The only details and clues of his mental health during his final days are his last tweets, which were full of hope, optimism, and joy.
Hours before his death, Chris tweeted an enthusiastic message outside the Fox Theatre in Detriot where Soundgarden performed, saying, "#Detroit finally back to Rock City!!!!" His incredible vocals were put on full display during his final performance of the band's massive hit "Black Hole Sun."

On Monday night (May 15), Cornell posted four photos from Soundgarden's show in Kansas City. "Much thanks to Kansas City Mo and all of our friends there for blowing it up," the tweet read. He also posted a photo of the night's setlist.

Cornell tweeted a loving Mother's Day note to his wife Vicky Cornell, telling her, "you are an angel and a lioness. The perfect mother and the perfect wife. I love you! Happy #MothersDay2017"

Chris was said to be upbeat during his final show and he leaves behind his wife Vicky and three children.
