More trouble coming for Ja Rule, Billy McFarland and the entire Fyre Festival. The disastrous music event is now being investigated by the FBI.

According to The New York Times, the feds are officially investigating the festival for “possible mail, wire and securities fraud.” The publication reads:  “The investigation is being conducted by the United States attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York and the F.B.I.; it is being overseen by a prosecutor assigned to the complex frauds and cybercrime unit.”

McFarland, who co-organized the Fyre Festival along with Ja Rule, didn't comment specially about the investigation. But, he did express regret for the event going as badly as it did. “I’m committed to, and working actively to, find a way to make this right, not just for investors but for those who planned to attend,” he told The New York Times

Ja Rule's attorney added that his client “would never participate in anything fraudulent; it’s simply not in his DNA.” The FBI has yet to comment to The New York Times article. This investigation comes after multiple lawsuits have been filed against the Fyre Festival and its organizers after what was supposed to be a luxury music event turned into a cheat-looking, hot mess.
