It never ceases to amaze me what fans will say to athletes.

In this case, what a fan in the Diamond Seats said to Joey Votto last night.

Fan: "I remember when you used to be good." 

Votto: "I remember when you used to be thin." 

The fan continued on.....criticizing Votto for getting doubled-off base Monday night.

Votto: "Right now this guy's filming this. I've got something to lose. You guys don't even have a life so you've got nothing to lose at all."
