Fingerprint evidence from a Florida cold case is responsible for the arrest of a well known French Quarter street performer.

Johnie Miller, also known as "Uncle Louie" when he performs dressed in an Uncle Sam suit, was arrested by New Orleans officers last week.

NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reported that Miller's arrest stems from a 1974 Jacksonville, Florida cold case in which store owner Freddie Farah was shot dead during a robbery attempt.

When Jacksonville cold case detectives had fingerprints from the scene retested using current technology, Miller came up as a match.
