Sessions Vows To Seek Supreme Court Review Of Travel Ban Ruling

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is vowing to take the fight over President Trump's revised travel ban to the U.S. Supreme Court.  A federal appeals court in Virginia upheld a ruling yesterday that blocked Trump's executive order banning travelers from predominately Muslim countries.

In a statement, Sessions maintained that the travel ban is well within the President's legal authority.  He adds that the Justice Department "strongly disagrees" with the court's ruling.  He says the President is not required to admit people into the U.S. from countries that sponsor or shelter terrorism.
