There's some devastating news for Chris Bosh and Miami Heat fans. Doctors have ruled that the ball player is suffering from a "career-ending illness."
Bosh hasn't played with his team since the 2015-2016 season, which was unfortunately cut short because he developed blood clots. Bosh also didn't play during the most recent season, due to the fact that he failed a preseason physical by NBA doctors.
Now, it looks like the Heat player will officially be hanging up his jersey for good. According to Sun Sentinel, the league's doctors say that his career may be over. The news site also adds: "The ruling leaves only the formality of the team placing the former All-Star forward on waivers to remove Bosh, 33, from their salary cap. The Heat have put off that maneuver until such salary-cap space is required, either for a possible trade at or near the June 22 NBA draft or the July 1 start of NBA free agency."
But, there could be a very slight chance that Bosh can still play in the future. It'll take a miracle, of course. CBSSports.com states that the athlete can always return to the league with medical evidence that confirms that he's fit to play. Bosh has repeatedly said numerous times, as of recent, that he can still play, as well. However, NBA medical personnel have already seemed to make up their minds that's he's done.

So, it appears to be the end of an era. With Bosh winning two Championship rings, appearing in a total of four straight NBA Finals, as well as 11 All-Star games with the Miami Heat; it was definitely one heck of a ride.
